Social entrepreneurs are ambitious individuals that have goals and daring nature in order to pursue what they think is right. In addition to that, they are persistent in order to tackle the major social issues and are there to offer the ideas they can find which is meant to provide a change for wide-scale. For a long period now, the societal needs were the governments concerns. Initially, the government used to send researchers research on the problems in the society, and it was with the response that they receive that they would act to solve the problems.

The strategies that the governments used were not effective since they could not gather all the problems and even after realizing, not all of them were attended to.  Therefore, instead of leaving that entire task to the government it has changed now to being the duty of the social entrepreneurs to find what is not working in the society and therefore, has been able to implement solutions to the problems through change of systems, persuasion of entire societies and spreading of the solutions so that the entire society can move in new different directions.
