Imagine you are a newly hired DEI manager for Fictitious Corp. Create a proposal to develop a DEI program for the organization. You can assume that there are no critical diversity, equity, or inclusion issues within Fictitious Corp that caused you to be hired but that leadership has decided that hiring a DEI manager and creating a DEI program are good things to do for competitive advantage. You have been asked to brief the leadership team about what a DEI program is and how it can advantage Fictitious Corp. Your paper will be distributed to the leadership team in advance of your briefing and should be written in academic voice.
In your paper,
- Explain the overarching need for a DEI program in an organization and the relative advantages a DEI program provides.
- Recommend a way to get started with a DEI program for the organization.
- What should be done first?
