In a paper of at least 1,250 words (exclusive of title, abstract, and reference pages) and citing at least two scholarly sources in addition to required readings,
- Provide an overview of diversity trends in U.S. organizations.
- Identify the changes in diversity that are occurring in the workplace and the impact on the makeup of the labor pool.
- Identify changes in organizational policies and practices that have become evident because of DEI efforts.
- Critique the arguments for sustaining and supporting a diverse workforce.
- Cite evidence to support the relevance and expediency of a workforce that is diverse in multiple ways.
- Identify specific benefits that are likely to accrue to an organization that is diverse, inclusive, and equitable.
- Discuss the challenges of managing a diverse workforce.
- Propose specific actions leaders and managers can take to enhance diversity of the workforce and to ensure inclusion and equity for all workers.
- Distinguish between diversity, inclusion, and equity in the workforce context.
- Defend the importance of ensuring inclusion and equity in addition to diversity.
- Propose specific policies, practices, and actions that can be enacted in the workplace to ensure a diverse workforce that is both inclusive and equitable.
