Serial Killers-Ted Bundy
All disciplines at Perimeter College at Georgia State University are encouraged to participate in the College Writing Across the Curriculum program. The ability to express ideas clearly in writing is an important factor in criminal justice studies. For this reason writing is part of the grade in this course. The Writing Assignment must be related to Criminal Justice:
General Guidelines:
1. The writing assignment should be at least three to five typed pages in length (double spaced) APA format
2. You may use academic books or notes to do the writing assignment. Academic writing is grounded in facts that are backed by academic sources such as; journals, periodicals, encyclopedias, and text books for example, and not Wikipedia, newspapers, magazines, etc.
3. Papers submitted late may result in letter grade reductions.
4. For this paper, your writing assignment is to create a fictional story about YOU capturing one of the infamous serial killers (listed in D2L dropbox in icollege). You are the detective in this story. Use factual information about these individuals and their crimes.
In your story ( 3-5 pages ) answer these questions
1.) What crimes were committed?
2.) Who committed the crimes?
3.) What was the evidence that developed your probable cause to arrest this person or persons?
In your story, you have become famous now for capturing this person. You are being interviewed by Time Magazine. You are asked why this person (in your opinion) became a serial killer?
Using your text book as a reference, present your argument for why this person did what he/she did. Apply multiple theories (at least three) to why they became a killer.
4.) I will be looking for you to use at least 3 references to support your ideas in this paper.
