Oedipus the Tragic Hero
Oedipus is the perfect hero according to Aristotle, One of the ways Oedipus extends and enlarges upon the concept of “hero” just as it is exemplified heretofore by Gilgamesh and Odysseus is that he is a man of high social standing since he embodies the quality of people in his land. He also attempts to do the right thing at great costs to himself. He is also too much arrogant and admits his errors and also attempts to take it out on the blind soothsayer. The reflection of a tragic hero reflects when he is in pursuit of the murderer of his father which is a very contradicting story.
