Perspectives of Human Behavior
In this course, you will write a paper that makes use of the five general perspectives on human behavior – biological, learning, social and cultural, cognitive, and psychodynamic influences – to explain how a relationship begins, develops, and is maintained. Compare and contrast the impact of those perspectives on behavior in a love relationship – any relationship you choose – but one that shows a loving interaction between two people, such as spouses. Compare and contrast the impact of those perspectives on behavior in a relationship – any relationship you choose – but one that shows an interaction between people, such as partners or other forms of relationship(s). This means you are going to choose a relationship and examine it from those theoretical perspectives. It is important to understand that the relationship serves as an example (the application) of the perspectives you are learning about in this course. This research paper is not about the relationship itself, but must be used as supporting evidence of the research required for this paper.
I am willing to consider alternative topics on an individual basis. However, you must submit this alternative to me and I must authorize the change of paper topic.
Format: You need at least 3 pages, double-spaced, for this paper (this does not include the title page, abstract or reference page). It should be double-spaced and one inch margins. Spelling and grammar count! Take time to organize your thoughts and develop a clear and coherent research paper utilizing APA style.
This is a research paper that is intended to demonstrate your knowledge on the topic in a scholarly fashion. Please include a title page with the title of your paper, date, and your name as required by APA. If you are interested in perfecting this format for future psychology classes, this would be a good opportunity to do so. I do not expect perfection in your APA format, but a genuine attempt at APA format. Be cautious about using citation wizards, as some do not properly follow APA style. Doing so increases your chance of errors and a loss of points. Check the course content for APA style information
