This paper examines United Airlines, Flight 232. United Airlines Flight 232 was a planned flight from Colorado (Stapleton International Airport) to Chicago, (O’Hare Airport) with and later to proceed to Philadelphia International Airport. The plane crash-landed in Sioux City, after undergoing tragic malfunction of its tail-mounted engine which as a result led to the failure of all flight controls. A total 296 people were on board out of which 111 died in while 185 survived. Despite the high number of deaths, the disaster is considered a primary case of triumphant crew resource management because of the approach in which the crew managed the crisis and the considerably high number of the accident survivors
