Analyze an Editorial

Select five concepts from part 2 of “Argument” (3.2 “What are the Components and Vocabulary of Argument?”), and for each concept, write one paragraph using the concept to break down the argument presented in the editorial. Your paragraphs need not take essay form, though they should refer to specific passages in the editorial.

Post & Discuss

Step 1: Post your analysis of the editorial to the discussion board.

Step 2: Respond to two of your peers’ posts, pointing out things that their analysis revealed that you hadn’t noted.

Step 3: Much as you did in your analysis of the editorial, select two terms from 3.2 “What are the Components and Vocabulary of Argument?” (you can use the terms you used above or select different ones), and write a paragraph for each analyzing McCloud’s chapter Download McCloud’s chapter(one paragraph for each term). As with your analysis of the editorial, your post need not take essay form, though it should provide specific examples to support your observations.
