Business Ethics In the 21st Century
In order to understand organizational ethics, the issue of responsibility is foundational. In order to resolve this ethical issue, the best suited ethical perspective is the Common-Morality Theory by Beauchamp, Arnold and Bowie, 2009 which states that by virtue of commercial life, there is a common morality that is shared by all people which is the source of morality theories. Besides that, the deontological theory can support this ethical issue because it states that a person’s will is always bound to his/her duty and so the managers should follow their duty and take responsibility for the actions of the business organization to the society and environment. Common morality can be defined as a set of norms that is shared by individuals with a commitment of being free of any prejudice or bias based on morality facts
