Martha Graham-Dance
Graham commenced her initial dance days as a student as well as performer at Denishawn. At first, she mainly worked with Ted Shawn. Upon making her debut at Denishawn in 1916, she remained there up to 1923. Throughout her periods and styles evolution, strong historical dynamic women along with literature offered the inspiration for the numerous roles she developed for herself within her works. The long span of her career not only contributed to but also set the pace for modern dance establishment as a valid, as well as, independent art form.
