Section 2 must be written in academic voice, without using personal pronouns.

In a paper of at least 1,250 words (exclusive of title, abstract, and reference pages) and citing at least two scholarly resources in addition to required readings, complete the following sections:

Section 1

  • Identify the assessments you completed.
    • Describe what each assessment measures and your own results from them.
  • Explain what the results of the assessments tell you about your personal stereotypes and biases.
    • Discuss whether the findings surprised you and how the assessment findings helped raise your consciousness about potential bias.
    • Hypothesize about the potential effect each implicit bias you evaluated might have if it were held by someone in the workplace.

Section 2

  • Discuss the social categorizations and stereotypes associated with each assessment you completed.
    • Delineate the groups of people affected by the potential implicit bias associated with each assessment.
    • Analyze how these implicit biases may discriminate against these people.
  • Explain how diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives can help overcome potential sources of implicit bias within organizations.
